The anthology is split into three short stories, through illustration and prose, Heather & Laurel invites readers into a space that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant, encouraging them to reflect on their own stories of self and relationships.
This project is more than just a book; it’s a mirror, a memory and a conversation - showing authenticity in a world that often asks us to hide who we are.
Belonging
Belonging is the second story within the Heather & Laurel anthology. It reimagines the fable of the ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’ and turns it on its head to explore themes of identity, misperception, and the longing to find one’s place.
This story speaks to the experience of feeling misunderstood, unseen, or out of step with the world around you - a quiet search for where we truly belong.
